Business and Investment
To connect and support businesses throughout the town centre and uncover investment to help Wood Green grow. Building on the work Wood Green BID has already started, we are keen to expand projects and activities to support local businesses.
N22 Network
N22 Networking events connect businesses throughout Wood Green to support communication, sales and introductions. Previous meetings have taken place at Green Rooms, Tahrish, Karavan, Metro Bank, McDonalds and Blue House Yard. Future Meetings will alternate between Breakfast, Lunch and Evenings.
Invest Wood Green
To create a new focus with partners for investors, landowners and freeholders to look at regeneration and investment into Wood Green to support both current and future businesses within the Town Centre. To create with a focus group a new promotional brochure and to host events targeting investment for Wood Green.
Work Wood Green
To create a new partnership to support local people by connecting them with businesses who are looking to employ or provide training. Wood Green BID will bring together specialists and training partners who can work with employers and candidates to support them in being job-ready.
Cost Savings
Further some work Wood Green BID has undertaken itself and in partnership with the Council is to further explore the feasibility of sources and environmentally sustainable solution for Commercial waste and recycling collections.
Town Centre Vision
Wood Green BID commissioned a project in partnership with Haringey Council. Jointly funded by Wood Green BID, Haringey Council, and the Mayor of London. This project builds on previous and other consultations
Lobbying
Since 2018, Wood Green BID have lobbied on behalf of the Businesses within Wood Green to other organisations including TFL, Haringey Council, Police and Central Government. Areas of Lobby include, Updating signage and mapping, more police (Town Centre Team), Covid19 Grant payments, Issues around Delivery Riders.
Covid-19 Business Support
Following the Pandemic, Wood Green BID support was available to all Town Centre Businesses including Signage Packs, Crowd Barriers and support with Grant applications.
Wood Green Community Forum
Following a successful applications, Wood Green is piloting a Community Improvement District through 2023, This is a pilot to join up community groups and organisations to look at specific projects.
Love Wood Green Voucher Scheme
In 2021, Wood Green BID launched a new Voucher Scheme which match funded up to £250. The scheme supports local small to medium businesses throughout the Town Centre.
Business and Investment Working Group
Wood Green BID hold a Bi-monthly working group meeting which supports the work produced by the BID and partners. The Working Group is open to those who are BID Levy payers or their representatives. To find out more or to join the working group, please contact us.
