Wood Green Business Improvement District (BID) worked with key partners including the Council and Police to introduce a new Town Centre Radio Scheme where businesses are connected directly by radio to BID Street Rangers, Police and the CCTV Control Room.

The new Town Centre Radio Scheme started in 2019 and to date, have around 120 active radio users throughout the Town Centre. The Scheme which is part of the Wood Green Business Crime Reduction Partnership Scheme is is fully funded to BID Levy Payers..

The mission of the new radio scheme is to give businesses better communication tools to report not only crime that may be happening in or near to their business but also it can be used to report lost children or other activities.
