Wood Green Business Improvement District have commissioned a two year study into looking at what the future of Wood Green should look like and what is it’s purpose. Throughout the first year of the study, we will with our partners be visiting and creating study groups made up from all ages and from different backgrounds to find out what are your thoughts.
Also throughout the first year, a survey will be issued to businesses, residents and visitors to Wood Green to ask questions about Wood Green now and the future. This will include facilities, shopping experiences, technology and environment. Workshops will also introduce “blue sky” thinking. The second part of the study will then look into more detail of the answers and survey results from the first year and how they can be put into practice.
What is the purpose of this kind of Study?
A study of this kind looking at areas of interest can help and support growth and a physical plan for the future of a town centre. This then helps planners, developers and local businesses to look at what are the findings and what is best for the town centre. The BID is keen to support all local residents of all backgrounds and while we look for the best of the town centre, we are also looking at how the town centre best supports those who use it now and in the future.
Postponement of Study
The BID Board have at the current time suspended this study to January 2021 due to the effects and restrictions of the pandemic. We are constantly updating our works and will bring things back once the guidelines allow us too.
